The Boys soccer team traveled to Litchfield yesterday and lost 5-0 in their season opener. Weare and Litchfield played a 0-0 first half with some good scoring chances from Jackson Souther, Ethan Sinclair and Anthony Bencosme but just couldn't find the back of the Litchfield goal. The second half found WMS trying to play catch up as Litchfield came out and scored 5 unanswered goals. The Boys next game is at home this Thursday against Raymond.
The WMS girls soccer team opened their season with a loss to Hopkinton, 4-1. The Wildcats began the game nervous and gave up all four goals in the first half. The Wildcats came to life in the second half with a goal from Mikayla Pellerin and flawless goalkeeping from Co-captain Emaly Roy. Strong performances by Madison Porth and Melody Couturier also added to the strong second half. With the butterflies out of the way, we can expect great things from this very young and exciting team.
Have a Terrific Tuesday Wildcats!
