What is the School Counseling Center?
The School Counseling Center offers a comprehensive program for all students. It is designed to offer ongoing support and provide information to students and their parents throughout the school year.
The primary goal is providing every student with the opportunities to acquire the academic, personal, and career skills essential to graduating from elementary/middle school and becoming productive citizens who respect themselves and others.
The School Counseling Center is staffed by school counselors.
A school counselor, also known as a guidance counselor, offers academic, career, and social advice and guidance to students.
The School Counseling Center conducts individual counseling, small group counseling, and classroom guidance sessions throughout the year to address career, educational, and personal and social concerns.
